Mike Greenwald founded MG Creations in 1997 as a skatepark design and building company. Mike began skateboarding as a pre-teen and began building skateboard ramps shortly thereafter. At age 17, Mike became involved with the Visalia YMCA Skatecamp as a part of the skatepark building crew. In 1997, Mike took control as the skatecamp’s head builder and designer and also began building parks and ramps for other organizations and individuals.

The Skateboard Locker story began in 1999 when , MG Creations was contacted by a high school nurse from California’s Central Valley. This nurse was looking for a solution to the daily pile of skateboards in her office. After a year of designing, MG Creations began the production and sales of the “Skateboard Locker.”

The mission of Skateboard Lockers is to facilitate the utilization of skateboards as a primary means of youth transportation. Positive side effects include more healthy and confident kids as well as less greenhouse gasses.

Currently MG Creations continues to design and build skateparks and promote the “Skateboard Locker.”
